Every blood sample at NORR is taken by Agnes Swit, a Registered General Nurse. Not a technician, not a machine — a nurse, in a private room, in 10 to 15 minutes. If a vein is difficult, that experience is the difference between one attempt and four.

Seven profiles that look at the whole picture at once: heart, liver, kidneys, blood sugar, blood count and, at the higher levels, bone health, inflammation and iron. If you want one test a year that covers the ground, it is one of these.

Cholesterol, liver, kidneys or iron on their own. Useful when you are tracking something specific over time rather than screening broadly.
Screening for diabetes, prediabetes and insulin resistance, including the markers a standard glucose test on its own will miss.
A set of results is a list of numbers. If you want someone to go through them with you, NORR works with an independent doctor who reviews your results on a private video consultation. Where it is clinically appropriate, the doctor can issue a prescription or a referral.
Agnes is a nurse and does not interpret results or diagnose. That is what the doctor review is for.
No. You book directly with the clinic. If you would like your GP to have a copy of your results, ask and we will send them.
Fasting is recommended for all profiles. No food for 8 to 12 hours before your appointment — water is fine, and you should keep drinking it. Morning appointments make this easier, which is part of why draws run 8:30–12:30.

From 24 hours after your sample reaches the laboratory. Some markers take longer; if yours is one of them, Agnes will tell you at the appointment.
You can collect them in person at the clinic, or have them emailed to you. Results are health information, so email delivery is sent as a password-protected file with the password given to you separately.
Agnes can tell you what each marker measures and whether a value sits inside the laboratory’s reference range. She cannot diagnose — she is a nurse, not a doctor. For an interpretation, book the €45 doctor review.
Call the clinic before you book and Agnes will pick the day with you. If your cycle is irregular, or you are not cycling, say so — that is common and it is worked around, not a reason to skip the test.
Not at the moment. NORR takes blood samples from adults only — 18 and over. If you need a test for a child, your GP or a paediatric service is the place to go.
